Boutique Hotel Restaurant Hollerather Hof is located approximately 600 meters above sea level in the town of Hollerath in the municipality of Hellenthal.
The hotel is located between the Eifel National Park and the German-Belgian Nature Park Hohes Venn. From the backyard of the hotel you can walk directly into the forest. The unique landscape is extremely varied. Rivers, streams, lakes and reservoirs, the colorful diversity of plant species and open and wooded mountains and valleys.
The Eifel was once inhabited by the Celts, the Romans and the Franks. The witnesses of their culture can still be admired: Romantic towns with medieval half-timbered houses such as Monschau, fascinating remains of Roman buildings and impressive castles such as Burg Eltz.
Many thousands of tourists visit the Eifel region every year to enjoy nature. The area is particularly popular with walkers and cyclists, but also with motorcyclists. In addition to the natural beauty, this last category of visitors particularly enjoys the many hairpin bends in the area.
The hotel is also worth a visit in winter. A cross-country ski run starts about 500 meters from the hotel and takes you through the forest. In addition to cross-country skiing, you can also ski and toboggan here. A little further in Udenbreth (approx. 2 km) is the larger ski arena Skiarena Weißer Stein. This ski area has 10 km of cross-country trails and has a drag lift for skiers and a toboggan lift.
